The Right to Education bill has passed and it is one of the significant legislation's initiated by the UPA government over 62 years of independence. Thanks to the HRD Minister Kapil Sibal for his educational reforms. It s really a welcome note and makes us proud that India has taken such a commendable initiative. Irrespective of Caste, Creed and religion every children will have access to the elementary education.
Providing free education for the children under the age group 6-14 is a noble move. Through this law at least we can prevent the child labour. The literacy rate of the country would surely going to increase with this move.It is the responsibility of every right thinking citizen to motivate and encourage the parents who does not want to provide education for their children. Movies like Samba highlights the point that "A million er cannot create another million er but a graduate can create 100 graduates".
Being the most populated country second to the china, it would be an arduous task to implement the right to education. Irrespective of the family income of the parents this does not affect the child education. There is a famous quote given by Nelson Mandela "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Education enables us to learn the necessary skills, moral values and attitude that will make us a responsible person and it is the key to progress and empowers the nation.
Hope a day will come where everybody in the country will get the basic education and makes India's position strong globally.
